Samsung Galaxy Note 8 With Dual Rear Cameras Tipped to Launch Mid August

Highlights

Galaxy Note 7 was also launched mid-August last year
Samsung is reportedly working on three different camera modules
The smartphone is expected to feature Infinity display

The successful launch and sales of Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones seems to have boosted Samsungs confidence as the company has now been tipped to launch its Galaxy Note 8 smartphone around mid-August. Separately, the details about the dual rear camera setup on the smartphone have also been leaked.

First talking about the tipped launch timeline, as per a report by South Korean publication The Bell, the South Korean conglomerate is said to be launching the upcoming Galaxy Note 8 flagship ahead of IFA event in September, which was earlier the launching ground for Note series smartphones until last years Galaxy Note 7. Notably, the company was earlier expected to delay the launch of its upcoming Note flagship as rushing the launch of Galaxy Note 7 last year resulted in faulty batteries that caused explosion cases associated with the smartphone. The company has reportedly kept the same timeline for launch as last year to get a headstart ahead of iPhone 8 launch. As Apple might have a few tricks up its sleeves at the launch event this year, this cannot be termed as a bad move.
Moving to the leak about Galaxy Note 8s dual camera setup, a Weibo tipster has suggested that the smartphone will feature two 13-megapixel sensors at the back, as pointed out in a report by Phones Daily. Further, the tipster has mentioned that the company is working on three different dual camera modules. While Samsung Galaxy C10 has already been spotted featuring dual camera setup in different renders, we might have to wait to figure out the reference of the third dual camera setup.
To recall, well-known KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously suggested that Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will feature a dual camera setup with a 12-megapixel sensor and a 13-megapixel sensor.
Recently, reports suggested that Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be the first smartphone to feature Snapdragon 836 processor. Earlier leaks have suggested that the smartphone will come with a 6.3-inch Infinity display and run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is also said to pack 6GB of RAM, and offer up to 256GB of storage.
While earlier there were rumours of an integrated fingerprint scanner under the display, Samsung reportedly ditched the plans due to concerns regarding security of this feature.

NASA Wallops Rocket Launch Lights up the Mid Atlantic Coast

NASA Terrier-Improved Malemute sounding rocket was successfully launched at 4:25 a.m., Thursday, June 29, from the agencys Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia.

During the 8-minute flight, 10 canisters about the size of a soft drink can were ejected in space, 6 to 12 miles away from the 670-pound main payload.

The canisters deployed blue-green and red vapor that formed artificial clouds visible from New York to North Carolina.

During an ionosphere or aurora science mission, these clouds, or vapor tracers, allow scientists on the ground to visually track particle motions in space.

The development of the multi-canister ampoule ejection system will allow scientists to gather information over a much larger area than previously possible when deploying the tracers just from the main payload.

The rocket, after being delayed multiple times over the last 30 days, flew to an altitude of about 118 miles.

Wallops received nearly 2,000 reports and photos of the cloud sightings from areas as far north as New York, south to North Carolina, and inland throughout Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and points in-between.

NASAs Wallops Flight Facility provides agile, low-cost flight and launch range services to meet government and commercial sector needs for accessing flight regimes worldwide from the Earths surface to the moon. Wallops flight assets ranging from research aircraft, unmanned aerial systems and high-altitude balloons to suborbital and orbital rockets provide a full-range of capability, while operational launch range and airfield capabilities meet ongoing and emerging needs in the science, aerospace, defense, and commercial industries.

HTC 11 Expected Specs Launch Date

There are currently no official words on the specs the HTC Ocean would feature but it would most likely feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset, probably the latest Snapdragon 835. The device is expected with a 4GB RAM and 32GB of expandable storage on the base version. Considering the three leaked code-names, the HTC Ocean may likely have more than one storage version. The device might also come with support for Googles new VR platform Daydream.

In addition, the HTC Ocean would most likely use the USB Type-C interface and come without the 3.5mm audio jack. HTC did that on the HTC 10 Evo that was announced recently as well as on the HTC Bolt. The device will likely also feature a front sitting fingerprint sensor and will most likely run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box with touch of the latest HTC Sense.

Furthermore, there is likely going to be more than one display sizes on the three different versions but we dont have a specific figure for now. A rumor suggesting details of the display says the HTC 11 will sport a 5.5-inch display with a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution just like the Pixel XL. There are rumors that there would be a curved display on one of the versions of the HTC Ocean. We also cannot say just yet if HTC will opt for an LCD or AMOLED display but latest HTC devices use LCD displays.
